Instructions
Step 1. Make Dough (if not using store-bought):
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let stand 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in salt and olive oil.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 30-60 minutes (until doubled).
Step 2. Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.
Step 3. Shape Dough:
- Punch down the risen dough. Roll or stretch it out to your desired pizza size (around 12-14 inches in diameter) and transfer to the prepared pan.
Step 4. Add Toppings:
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle about half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Arrange the sliced mushrooms evenly over the cheese, then top with the remaining mozzarella.
Step 5. Bake:
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted, with slight browning.
Step 6. Serve:
