Instructions
Step 1. Prep the Chicken:
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Pound them slightly to even thickness for quicker, more even cooking.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Step 2. Sear the Chicken:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and mostly cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Step 3. Make the Spicy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium.
- Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, then stir in minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add crushed red pepper flakes, hot sauce (if using), and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and forms a thick, flavorful coating.
Step 4. Combine & Finish:
- Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet.
- Spoon the sauce over each piece and simmer for 5–8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp of 165°F).
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
