Instructions
Step 1. Make the Taco Seasoning:
- In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Step 2. Prep the Chicken:
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Cut into strips or keep whole, depending on how you plan to serve it.
Step 3. Season the Chicken:
- Rub olive oil all over the chicken, then sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly on both sides. Drizzle with lime juice for a fresh, tangy kick.
Step 4. Cook the Chicken:
- Stovetop: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts for 4–5 minutes per side (or until internal temperature reaches 165°F).
- Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill chicken for 5–6 minutes per side.
Step 5. Rest & Serve:
- Let the chicken rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing. Serve in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings like shredded lettuce, salsa, cheese, and avocado.
