Instructions
Step 1. Marinate the beef:
- In a bowl, combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a little oil. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.
Step 2. Prepare the sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, black pepper, sugar, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
Step 3. Stir-fry the beef:
- Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add oil, then stir-fry the marinated beef for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 4. Cook the vegetables:
- In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed. Stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds, then add onions and bell peppers. Cook for about 2 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Step 5. Add sauce and beef:
- Return the beef to the wok. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well until everything is evenly coated and glossy. The sauce will thicken slightly.
Step 6. Serve hot:
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with extra cracked black pepper if desired.
