Instructions
Step 1. Cook the pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add bowtie pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2. Crisp the bacon:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy (about 6–8 minutes).
- Remove bacon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate, leaving about 2 tbsp bacon fat in the skillet.
Step 3. Make the creamy sauce:
- Add butter to the bacon fat in the skillet.
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and milk, whisking gently.
Step 4. Add cheese & seasoning:
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5. Combine everything:
- Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, coating it well.
- Add crispy bacon back into the skillet and mix gently.
Step 6. Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
- Serve warm with garlic bread or a side salad.
