Deep-Fried Cheesy Potato

Instructions

Step 1. Prepare potatoes:

  • Boil potatoes until fork-tender. Drain and mash them in a large bowl.
  • Mix in flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Step 2. Shape & stuff:

  • Take a spoonful of mashed potato mixture, flatten slightly, and place a small amount of shredded cheese in the center.
  • Roll into a ball or oval shape, sealing the cheese inside.

Step 3. Coat:

  • Dip each potato ball into beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.

Step 4. Deep fry:

  • Heat oil in a deep pan (350°F / 175°C).
  • Fry potato balls in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 5. Serve:

  • Enjoy hot with ketchup, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce!
