Instructions
Step 1. Prepare the Steak:
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
- Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
Step 2. Make the Glaze:
- While the steak rests, quickly whisk together balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and honey in a small bowl. Drizzle half of this glaze over the sliced warm steak.
Step 3. Assemble the Bowl:
- In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber. Toss gently with the neutral vinaigrette.
Step 4. Arrange:
- Transfer the seasoned greens to your serving bowl. Artfully arrange the sliced avocado on one side and the sliced steak (drizzled with glaze) in the center.
Step 5. Finish:
- Drizzle the remaining dark glaze over the steak for a shiny finish, and serve immediately.
