Easy Gluten Free Bread Recipe – You Can Make at Home

Instructions

Step 1. Activate the yeast:

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar (or honey), and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy. This ensures your bread rises nicely.

Step 2. Mix dry ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour and salt.

Step 3. Combine wet ingredients:

  • Beat the eggs and olive oil together. Slowly add the frothy yeast mixture and then pour it into the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

Step 4. First rise:

  • Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Step 5. Prepare the pan:

  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and lightly dust with gluten-free flour.

Step 6. Shape and second rise:

  • Transfer the dough into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula and cover again. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Step 7. Bake:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 8. Cool:

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
