Instructions
Step 1. Prepare the Salmon:
- Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel—season both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 2. Sear the Salmon:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets, skin side down, and cook for about 4–5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Flip and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove salmon and set aside.
Step 3. Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and capers, scraping up any brown bits from the pan.
Step 4. Combine & Serve:
- Return salmon to the pan, spoon the sauce over fillets, and sprinkle with fresh dill. Garnish with lemon slices and serve hot.
